Sophia is a Persian-American writer and the romantic mythological stories of the Shahnameh are deeply ingrained in her experience and voice as a storyteller.
She received both a BFA and an MFA in Creative Writing at George Mason University with a concentration in fiction. During her time at GMU she was an assistant Fiction editor with Stillhouse Press and published Shell, a poem, in the journal Volition. When not writing or reading about the ancient world, Sophia likes to be outside with her dogs, Liesel and Sira. |
